“Redheads, Portraits from Milsey Bay”, was born from my fascination with red hair — a striking feature that seems to glow especially vividly under the Scottish light. I invited local redheads of all ages to Milsey Bay in June 2024 to take part in a day of portraits. The setting was raw and elemental: the backdrop of Bass Rock, the grey sea and sky, and the hail that had just cleared the air moments before the shoot. What started as a photo session turned into a celebration — a joyful, windswept gathering on the shore.

The exhibition itself was a joyful time. Many visitors, interested,moved, sharing experience, asking questions. Some subjects of the photos had been interviewed just before exhibition opened. —> How did you like to have your photo taken? How do you feel about you hair?

Exhibition 2025 took place in North Berwick, Scotland in August, during the Fringe by the Sea. Great exchanges with the public, who showed curiosity and were deeply engaged.
